Description

The placement of malleable penile implant (semirigid) has been widely accepted as an alternative option to inflatable penile implant for the treatment of medically refractory erectile dysfunction. Surgical indication of placing malleable penile implant includes men with erectile dysfunction with limited dexterity function, as well as in salvage penile prosthetic surgery.  In this video, we demonstrate a step-by-step surgical approach and technique and highlight key intra-operative modifications for this procedure. This video serves as a resource for the practicing urologist who is seeking to better understand the available advanced surgical approaches to placing malleable penile implant.
