Description

Two-piece IPP is a reservoir-free option for patients in whom abdominal placement is undesirable, such as renal-transplant recipients. This 4-minute video shows a standardized penoscrotal technique with high-yield pearls: lateral corporal dilation with the Furlow introducer, precise distal/proximal sizing, creation of a dependent sub-Dartos pump pocket, and pressurized intraoperative cycling to verify symmetry and hemostasis. Bilateral corporotomy closure with buried knots and partial inflation minimizes hematoma. The early pathway is pragmatic and reproducible: catheter removal on day 1, discharge on day 2, gentle pump mobilization at weeks 2–3, and activation with home cycling at week 8. Take-home message: in selected post-transplant patients, a two-piece IPP enables efficient implantation and early functional recovery when a reservoir is undesirable.
