Description
Penile curvature, whether congenital or acquired, is a condition that may negatively impact sexual function and may lead to significant emotional and psychological distress.¹²
Several surgical techniques have been described for its correction, including plication techniques, incision and grafting procedures, and penile prosthesis implantation with adjunctive straightening maneuvers. Among these, plication techniques remain the gold standard for low-complexity curvatures in patients with preserved erectile function. Surgical expertise is a key factor in achieving optimal outcomes.¹²³
The technique presented in this video is based on the classic 16-dot plication method, modified to an 8-dot configuration, with suture placement guided by reproducible geometric principles. This approach may shorten the learning curve, while enabling more precise and predictable surgical outcomes.
