Introduction:

We carried out Germany's one of the first implantation of a new modification of the ZSI 475 penile prosthesis. This instructional video shows the step by step implantation of the new generation of the Zephyr inflatable penile prosthesis.

Material and methods:

We present the case of a 64 patient. Patient suffered from treatment-resistant erectile dysfunction. The patient previously underwent a radical prostatectomy in 2015. Patient was PDE5 inhibitor non-responder, vacuum pump non-responder, SKAT non-responder. After preoperative administration of III generation cephalosporins, a inflatable penile prosthesis was implanted. Operation time was 40 minutes without complications.

Results:

Postoperative course was uneventful. Antibiotic therapy was continued for 3 days. Drainage was performed on the 2nd p.o. day removed. Patient was seen on the 3rd p.o. dismissed. Activation of the prosthesis took place 6 weeks postoperatively. Day. A real inflation function could be detected.

Summary:

Implantation of the ZSI 475 prosthesis is comparable in handling to other comparable penile implants.
