Description
This video provides a step-by-step guidance in the conduction of hemodynamics studies using penile Doppler ultrasound (PDU). PDU is the gold standard diagnostic modality in the vascular assessment of erectile function, and it is useful in the therapeutic decision-making process for patients with erectile dysfunction. The video outlines the most important principles for an adequate exam conduction, which includes redosing of vasoactive agents for during erection induction, a rigidity-based assessment of hemodynamic parameters, and an effective detumescence protocol using reversal agents. The conduction of standard PDU examination of a 54 year-old man with erectile dysfunction is described.
