Sphincter, Penile Implant, Penoscrotal

This video describes the surgical technique of implanting both an Artificial Urinary Sphincter (AUS) and an inflatable Penile Prosthesis (IPP) through a single transverse penoscrotal incision. The corpora are exposed down to the ischial tuberosity by correct deployment of the self-retaining retractor, penile strap and different configurations of hooks. The urethra is isolated and the cuff placed. Next the cylinders are placed followed by placement of the reservoir and sphincter balloon. Finally, the two pumps are placed in different sub dartos locations. The video addresses the fact that this team is using the originally described method of Wilson and not the enhanced technique also subscribed by Wilson and Mulcahy. They believe their patients and partners are very satisfied with the results of the originally described technique.
