Bipolar scissors combine cutting and coagulation in the same instrument and the same surgical step. This combination secures hemostasis, minimizes tissue devascularization and denervation considering the bipolar mechanism of electro-cautery.

In this work, we demonstrate the use of bipolar scissors in penile prosthesis implantation surgery, penile curvature correction surgery and suprapubic lipectomy. Our experience is that the use of bipolar scissors shortened operative time, and allowed for a more clear surgical field and easier surgery.
